Guest Lecture on “Recent Trends in Digital Marketing”
The Department of Management Studies, SRM Valliammai Engineering, Kattankulathur, organised the Guest Lecture on Recent Trends in Digital Marketing for the First Year MBA Students (BATCH 2024 – 2026) on 11th September 2024. Dr.M.Murugan, Principal, SRMVEC was inaugurated the orientation program. The HOD Prof. Venkat Muramalla convened the orientation programme.
Mr. Harishkumar Radhakrishnan, Director – Marketing & Operations, MadMaze Studios Private Limited was the Chief Guest of this Guest Lecture. He addressed and emphasised to the gathering that ‘Market focus is the strategic concentration of resources and efforts towards understanding and meeting the needs and preferences of a specific target audience.
From the guest lecture, students were able to understand the need of digital marketing in this era of online. It is explained in the guest lecture that how to communicate the company's plan, product, and business on various social media platforms. Companies use digital marketing to boost product sales via various channels, such as search engine marketing and paid promotions.
He insisted that customer touchpoint is any direct or indirect contact a customer has with a brand. Customer touchpoints can occur within and outside of a brand's control and may happen before, during or after the purchase of a brand's product or service.
He also asserted that marketing funnel is a multi-stage process that guides potential customers from first learning about a product to making a purchase. Digital marketing offers a myriad of opportunities for individuals looking to carve a successful career path in a dynamic and rapidly evolving field.
He contended that new trend in digital transformation for 2024 is the rising use of automation tools. Similarly, cloud computing, low-code/no-code tools, hyper-automation, and intelligent use of AI will all greatly aid company scaling. The digital marketing free resources are Growth hacking, Advanced branding, SEO foundations, Email and newsletter marketing, Google analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook and Twitter, Sketch for UX design.
Finally, he concluded his guest lecture with hearty congratulations and to the students and thanks to the Department of Management Studies, SRMVEC. The guest lecture on Recent Trends in Digital Marketing held among I MBA student on powerful tool for setting and achieving your digital marketing goals, create a clear vision of what you want to accomplish, how you will do it, and when you will do it and helps to monitor and evaluate your performance and results.
