DIGITAL MARKETING AND ITS CURRENT TRENDS

Department of Management Studies, SRM Valliammai Engineering College in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Institution Innovation Council organised a One Day National Seminar on ‘Digital Marketing and its Current Trends’ on 28.03.2023.

The seminar was organised with the objective of introducing the students the concept of Digital Marketing, its scope and application in today’s modern business world. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. L. Kanagalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, University of Madras, Chennai.

The session started with the welcome address by Mr. K. Suresh, Asst. Professor. Dr. K. Sentamilselvan, Associate Professor & Head and the Convener of the seminar felicitated the Chief Guest. In his introductory address Dr. Sentamilselvan extend thanks and support to the Management of our institution, Director Sir, Principal Sir and Vice Principal Sir for their motivation and support in conducting the seminar and marked the relevance of the seminar in today’s scenario. 

In the inaugural address, the Chief Guest Dr. L. Kanagalakshmi explained the students on the concept of Digital Marketing throwing lights in the areas of Social Media Marketing, Digital Transformation Model quoting examples on how Digital Support functions like Analytics, Cloud, Data and Communication Technologies are helping organisations in leading their digitalization strategies. Dr. Kanagalakshmi also among students successful digital marketing campaigns quoting examples of P&G – Vicks Campaign on Family Care , ShotoniPhone Campaign by Apple Inc, BlackGirlSunScreen Campaign etc.  Dr. J. Anand, Asst. Professor and the Coordinator of the event delivered the Vote of Thanks and concluded the session.
