STUDENT PROJECT SCHEME -An Empirical Study on the Influence of Microcredit on the Economic Empowerment of Women in Chengalpattu district with focus on Self help groups-April 2022

 SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Department of Management Studies Jointly with Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, done the project on 07-04-2022 titled “An Empirical Study on the Influence of Microcredit on the Economic Empowerment of Women in Chengalpattu district with focus on Self help groups’. 

. More than 50 participants participated in the research activity from various women self help group namely, Thamarai Women self help group, Roja women self help group , Nila Women Self help group and etc.,. Kuthanur Village, Madambakkam Panchayat, Guduvanchery. The study was conducted by Ms.J.Keerthana, II Year student of MBA, and Mr.A.Kowshik, II Year student of MBA, SRM VEC Under the guidance of  Dr. M.Ganesan Alias Kanagaraj, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, SRM VEC, Dr.K.Sentamilselvan,  Head Department of Management Studies, SRM VEC addressed the gathering shared the importance of microcredit and how to manage personal finance and shared techniques of repayment of microcredit.

 Dr.K.Sentamilselvan, the head of the department delivered the welcome speech. The Director of the company Mr. Rishi Kumar explained about his company. Over 60 employees were in the company under the departments of production, maintenance, tooling, quality and accounts. The company is producing plastic injection molding parts for serving automobile industries and home appliances.

International Webinar -“How Cloud Computing is Transforming Business Process Management”

 Dr. K. Sentamilselvan, Head, Department of Management Studies delivered the welcome address. Ms.S.Praseetha I year MBA student introduced the speaker of the programme. Speaker Mr. Selvamuthukunmaran Gunasekarasivam, Cloud Specialist, Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore.Guest Spoke about cloud computing and the differences between Agile and Waterfall Methodologies. He described that Agile is best and that will fit into all domains to produce more effective way.  It is a method that increases the pipeline.He also added the different types of Cloud Computing like Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud and Multi Cloud.  Discussed about the Cloud service models and the top 10 Cloud providers and leaders.

Dr. V. Amutha, spokes about the ideas for choosing their stream of education. She explained about the plenty of opportunities available and motivated the students to explore the opportunities. She emphasized the need of positive thoughts in life and quoted with many live examples.

 Mr. Baskar Regaiyan spoke  about four types AI, reactive machines, limited memory, theory of mind and self-awareness. Speaker emphasized that Currently AI is Used in Retail, Shopping and Fashion. Security and Surveillance. Sports Analytics and Activities.

‘ETHICS FOR ENTREPRENEURS’

 Dr.S.VANITHA, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce and Financial Studies, School of Business Studies, Bharathidasan University was the resource person for the program, gave a wonderful session.The current situation reflects the need for skills like interpersonal skills and ethical work behavior, decision making, creativity and abstract thinking.

Dr.S.Neelavathy Pari  introduced the participants to many exclusive creative examples  through which she has intimated that the imagination and problem identification plays a vital role in today’s world and she concluded by saying that ,the intent of being an entrepreneur is to break away from practical norms and to use imagination to embrace effective and creative solutions.

 Mr. K.Shree Jayaram, gave a brief outline about the Tamilnadu Student Innovator Award (TNSI 2021) program. He gave an introduction about TNSI and about the registration and stages of TNSI which includes, awareness programs, ideation camp, boot camp and final pitch.
