INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO MODINE THERMAL
PRIVATE LIMITED
On 1st November 2023, the Department of Management
Studies at SRM Valliammai Engineering
College at SRM Nagar Kattankulathur organised an industrial visit to Modine Thermal Systems private limited,
Sunguvacharam plant was visited by the 56 MBA students to acquire practical experience with the
production process and managerial duties and
other operational activities
involved in the industry.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Ganesan Assistant
Professor – MBA and Dr. Hema Sundari Assistant Professor – MBA, visited
the Modine Thermal Systems
Private limited and We
reached the spot around 10.45AM. Initially, they examined us for our safety
purpose. They greeted us with warm and positive note and asked us to assemble
in their admin block. The characteristic features and the various departments
in the company are well organised and it was well identified. The ambience and
the working environment of the company was too good.

About the Company:
MODINE was founded in 1916 by Arthur B. It was founded
to give thermal solutions for the automobile industry.
They are manufacturing heating and cooling thermal
systems (i.e. Heat exchangers, oil puller) for commercial vehicle industries.
They are mainly focussed on giving solutions to their
customers with high quality and conserving water and energy.
They always keep on seeking new product enhancing and
improving systems without exploiting natural resources to improve the standard
of living and aids in preserving the planet.

Proceedings of the day:
Initially, we were seperated as four groups. Each groups
had been assisted by two persons with separate road map.
Around 1 hour, we had been in the production plant where
they explained every stage of the processing from receiving raw materials edge
to shipping edge of the company.
Both Manual and automatic flow of works had been
practising in the company.

After visiting the whole industry, we gathered for an
interactive session where we had posted our questions and queries to the team.
They had clearly explained our queries.
After finishing Q and A session, they provided food for
us. Then, we thanked the HR, production manager and their team for providing
this opportunity and spending their valuable time with us.

Anand, other faculty’s and College management for providing us this opportunity
to acquire a bright exposure in live production and markets. Once again, we
